good eating outdoors in algonquin resort golf club. the best is that they reserve for outdoor terraces (very rare in st. andrews this summer). beautiful view of the golf course with water in the back. service was excellent. we enjoyed wing for a starter. we both had the brisket plate for the main course. What User doesn't like about The Smokehouse Bbq:
the service was amazing. the most spectacular. the brisket was recommended and very good. I was told that the fries were handcuffed, but they seemed frozen to me. the ribs were not what one would expect from a smokehouse. they were dry and not juicy. I actually expected better from a golf course. View all feedback.
The brisket was good. The chicken was so dry I had to ask for some gravy. The ribs were over cooked I had to fight with it to get it off the bone. I took a glass of Sangria it was the worst they only put wine in it with lime and lemon. All the meat was under seasoned. The server was really nice but we were the only ones in tge smokehouse and we asked for a straw and more lime and never got it. It cost us 155$ for something totally not worth it. We went to Montana's wich was 100x better and only cost 80$ and eveeything was so good. Do not get caught in the smokehous tourist trap they should not be a smokehouse they do not know how to smoke food. I do not recomend this place.
Everything about this place is great. Highly recommend the bean burger.
I wanted to like it and I know everyone is really short people and it’s beyond hard, especially in a resort town but the service was beyond bad. And she had no idea that it was bad. We sat at 5:50. Beer finally at the table by 5:32. Eating by 7:10. No self awareness and no sign of a manager anywhere. I’d never get back.
Our last evening in Saint Andrews was spent dining outdoors with the family at The Algonquin’s Smokehouse BBQ at the golf course – with a splendid view of the Saint Croix River. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at The Algonquin and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit to New Brunswick.
The location is gorgeous overlooking both the golf course and the St. Andrew pier. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and bountiful. Servings were large. My husband and I shared a platter and it was so much food. The smoked meat was fall off the bone. Very well done.
