It was clear that many regulars frequent this spot, as the interactions between the staff and customers felt warm and familiar. The atmosphere was simple yet inviting, with the Today Show playing on the television in the background. As I browsed the menu, my server promptly brought me coffee and water, then returned to take my order: chicken fried chicken, scrambled eggs, hashed browns, and a few pancakes as a side. The food was classic diner fare, reminiscent of what's offered at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP). The eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly, and the hashed browns were tasty as well. They also offer American fries as a side option, but I didn't inquire about that. Rest assured, though, they had French fries available on the menu too. The pancakes were impressive; I'm quite particular about them, as they can often be too dense or overly absorbent of syrup, or even too sour if there's excessive buttermilk. Thankfully, these pancakes were light and fluffy—truly delightful. The coffee was excellent, and my server was attentive, ensuring my cup was never empty for long. Thank you for that! I believe I visited a different Ziggie's for dinner about a decade ago, and it was just as satisfying. If you're passing through or staying in Springfield, I highly recommend stopping by Ziggie's; it's a solid choice for a meal.

On one occasion, the waitress informed me that if I wanted the AYCE option, I had to order a breast, which I found a bit odd since I prefer dark meat. The chicken is quite good, though it can take some time to get additional servings. I also really enjoy the hashbrowns. Additionally, it's much cleaner than the other Ziggies locations.
