Reviews - Public House
Reviews summary
Set inside a striking converted church, this lively public house pairs a rotating tap list and excellent beers with live music, a sunny terrace and market-style food vendors. Friendly staff and varied, evolving menus make it a favorite for groups and beer enthusiasts, though prices tilt high and mobile-only ordering, convenience fees and inconsistent vendor hours have led to service hiccups. Great for atmosphere and brews, less ideal if you want printed menus or full table service.

There is a great variety of foods to choose from and it is all in a excellent location right in the middle of downtown Springfield. What Ryan Bennett dislikes about Public House:
Do not order from Pizza-Cue! They don’t even know what they have on they’re menu. Had to explain what we wanted and point to the sign and she said “I’ll make a note, because it doesn’t come up on here like it says there. The after an hour wait, I had to show my receipt to prove I ordered two, not just the one I was handed and he just said “I didn’t take the order”. When I got to the table, the chicken was under-cooke... View all feedback.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We dined outside on the evening of November 8th, and it was warm and inviting. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be returning! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This place is really cool. It's an old church that's been renovated. Many seating options; upstairs, outside, lawn, balcony, bar or Whiskey nook.. . Seven great diverse food options. Live music. Fantastic staff. My only note would be on the platinum Whiskey flight. I would prefer to see something besides maker's mark or Elijah Craig for the most premium flight but definitely would return.
This is a fantastic concept! It's a beer garden-style venue that features a variety of food vendors. You place your orders through a single app, which automatically sends each item to the right vendor. The drink selection is impressive, mainly focusing on local beers and ciders, giving you plenty of choices. The food options are also diverse, including burgers, sushi bowls, and donuts. We had a group of 12, and everyone loved their meals. The setting, located in an old church, adds a unique charm. This place is definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Tons of good food and drinks!Pictured is Hawaiian teriyaki chicken with mac salad and yakisoba noodles, The drink is Wayfinder pils. All are very tasty!
Despite sometimes having slow delivery on food, everything I've ordered has been delicious decent portions for the price. You get a pretty good variety of foods to try and lots of choices of seating (unless they're doing an event like bingo that night). It gets much busier on weekends at night, so beware of that. It has plenty of parking is cool that you can order on your phone to be delivered to your table or order at the carts/counter. Also cool that you can order from multiple places via your phone without needing to make separate orders. It's a great place to meet up with friends hang out. The pizza, tacos, nachos, and burgers have been delicious. They have a good variety of drink choices, too. You can order for there or to go, which is also cool. I noticed they have Grubhub, Uber Eats, and Doordash to go as an FYI as well as call-in pickup. not certain how often places change but do be wary that the food carts (restaurants) do change at that location so what you might like at one time might not be there the next. There are also times that they can randomly be closed while others are open. Just some things to keep in mind. Otherwise I definitely recommend checking it out. It's a fun place to go.

Was on vacation in Oregon and a buddy and I were tipped off to PublicHouse. Upon arrival a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I ended up getting the Ruben Tots from Pig and Turnip and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity. I'd be remiss if I were to not give credit to our waitress Julie, for making my friend and I's experience so pleasant. Would highly recommend!
A lot of heart goes into this food, almost everything is made from scratch, even the ketchup! Great quality grass fed goodness, you’ll definitely enjoy your time here!
Another great location by the people behind T&G and Beergarden. If you want more of the same high quality food, beer, and service you won't be disappointed.
So happy to eat out after two months!! Very unique atmosphere; a converted church. Ordering and paying was all done on my phone. Beer was excellent, food was good. Comparing food pricing to other local places, this was a little pricey. Burger was maybe 1/4 lb, no pretzel bun. Getting a pitcher of beer was a better deal.

I visited Public House for the first time, and it exceeded my expectations! I enjoyed the Pig n Turnip dish alongside a fantastic Hazy IPA. Sitting outside was a pleasure, and the heaters made it even better! I'm definitely looking forward to returning.
Great place. The building used to be a church. A lot of different seating available, big or small groups. With multiple restaurants inside. The whiskey bar has a really nice date atmosphere.
The restaurant offers fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s set in an old church that has been transformed into a relaxed space for dining, entertainment, and drinks. There are several food vendors that provide gluten-free options, including Moki Poke, Pork and Turnip, and Lani, as well as a whisky laboratory. Guests can choose from two different bars featuring both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including kombucha. Well-behaved pets are welcome at the outdoor seating area. Picnic tables make it easy to host special family gatherings or meet new friends.
Always a great vibe at the Public House. They have a rotating tap list that encourages me to try new brews. I love me some stouts and I haven't been disappointed with the offerings. The live music was very entertaining. We have tried the Fish Chips, the Blackened Salmon Salad, and the stuffed mushrooms from the Fish Market and we were not disappointed. The same can be said for the Poke Bowl place. There is ample HC and non-HC parking and diverse offerings of indoor/outdoor seating. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and easy to open. We can't wait until our next visit!
