Delicious food! Imo’s Pizza is by far the best pizza spot in Springfield. It really takes me back to the homemade pizzas I loved at Hampton in St. Louis, although those were often overcooked. Even when I request it undercooked there, it never comes out right. It’s a shame I have to drive three hours just to get a great pizza!
Pizza is ok but the woman working the counter is terrible. I stopped in to pickup a to go order and during the few minutes I was inside, someone had parked behind me. No big deal, I went in and asked everyone in the restaurant If they owned the car. No one did. I went to each business nearby and asked those patrons as well. I called an Uber to deliver the pizza back to the event and sat and waited. Finally, the lady working the counter came out CLEARY upset. I asked her if she owned the car and she said yes and that I should know to not park there. I asked how I should know that and she pointed at the sign in front of the business saying it was imo?s parking only. I was there for IMO?s! She then went on to ask me if I would park in someone?s driveway at their house and the answer is a resounding yes as well. She never apologized or felt bad at all and I have to admit I was very frustrated by her attitude and called her a name I am not proud of. So, while it may be a great restaurant, I?d highly advise against any dealings with the counter gal. I can assure you I won?t be back.
