Additionally, I work at a... read more I would like to preface this review by saying that I usually don’t write reviews, whether positive or negative, for any establishment. Additionally, I work at a local fast food restaurant, which is why I’ve taken the time to consider all aspects of my experience. On Sunday, May 22, 2022, I stopped by the Dunkin’ in Springfield to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast. I ordered an iced coffee, bacon avocado toast, and hash browns. As is customary, I was asked to pull forward and wait for my food, which I didn’t mind at all. When my order was brought out to me, however, I discovered that what was supposed to be bacon avocado toast was simply bacon on bread. I returned to the drive-thru and explained the mix-up to the staff. I was instructed to pull up to the window, where the employee informed me that they didn’t have the avocado spread. I requested a replacement item or a refund—either option was fine with me. Unfortunately, she told me that they don’t offer refunds. I expressed that I should have been informed about the lack of avocado when I placed my order, to which she rudely responded that they “didn’t care enough to tell me.” When I insisted that I didn’t want just bacon and bread, she said that I had to take it. I handed the food back to her and drove away as she began to call me inappropriate names. I attempted to call the store several times to speak with a manager, but was told each time that the manager was not available. Given my experience in the fast food industry, I know that there should always be a manager on duty. At this point, I’m not seeking a refund or any form of compensation. I simply want a manager to be made aware of this situation so that it can be addressed. Your employees represent your establishment, and it’s essential that they conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner.
