Reviews summary
Despite a mix of positive and negative experiences, Casey's General Store in Springfield seems to have a loyal customer base. The friendly staff receive both praise and criticism, with some customers feeling valued and others feeling ignored. Overall, it appears that the store may have experienced a decline in quality in recent years, but it still holds a special place in the hearts of many customers, both locals and visitors alike.
Was Entered Letters at Casey's a mag?
Every time I return to Springfield, I make sure to stop by this place. I grew up in a town where the only store was a Casey's, so I have a special fondness for their food. The pizza is absolutely amazing — seriously, it's like an explosion of flavor. The cookies are like a tiny taste of heaven, if heaven had a flavor. This particular location is a favorite of mine because the staff is fantastic. It must be part of th... View all feedback.
What Reba Brakus dislikes about Casey's:
Visiting from out of town and stopped by to try and buy cigarettes. Was told that because my ID is not a drivers license and from out of state they can not sell to me. So basically Casey's doesn't want to sell goods to people who don't live in their community?! This is after selling to me two days ago and last week. When I told the person behind the counter this ifo she fallowed with it's a new policy. I and my famil... View all feedback.

The staff at Casey's is friendly, but the restaurant's quality has noticeably declined since 2022. They are frequently understaffed, and the soda fountains often run out of products. The Powerade, which used to be carbonated, now tastes like plain water. The pizza kept in the hot cabinet always looks dry and seems to have been sitting there long past its freshness time. While some employees provide good service, others are quite poor. Overall, Casey's has gone from being excellent to struggling over the past two years.
The pay-at-the-pump system is a mess. It kept asking for a membership card number, but I’m not a member, so it kept declining my transaction when I refused to enter my phone number. I already entered my zip code—that should be enough. After six failed attempts, I gave up and went to Flying J. It’s an overly complicated process, and I saw several other customers having the same frustrating experience. Casey’s needs to fix this—nobody has time for a twenty-question interrogation at the pump.
Wow, the bathrooms here are awful! It doesn't seem like anyone ever cleans them.

This is my go-to place! My friend’s son works there, and he's always genuinely ready to help with whatever you need. Tasha, who works the third shift, is absolutely delightful—never short on conversation. The staff is efficient, getting you in and out quickly while always making sure to greet you and send you on your way with a smile. It's my favorite spot, and I often stay longer than I should, demanding a bit more attention than usual, but they don’t mind at all. They just let me be myself and smile while I do it. I give it 5 stars—definitely the best gas station in town!

I and my family in the area will no longer be going to Casey's. Which is sad because we normally there at least 4-5 times a week. Kim and go had no problem with my out of state ID.
The pump number is unresponsive, and the attendant keeps asking for a member card number. I'm not a member, and the transaction fails because I refuse to provide my phone number. I've entered my postcode, and that's all the information I'm willing to give. After six unsuccessful attempts, I gave up and went to Flying J instead. The process at the pump is overly complicated, and I noticed several other customers struggling with the same invasive questioning. Seriously, no one has time for a twenty-question interrogation.
Casey's is always excellent. They offer great donuts, taco pizza, and their subs are delicious. Most of the time, the customer service is good too!
I usually don’t write reviews, but the customer service I experienced here was the worst I've ever encountered at a gas station. The older gentleman with gray hair and glasses didn’t smile or say a word—he was completely unhelpful when my debit card chip wasn’t being read by their machines. I ended up taking my items to another station.
