I am blown away by the change at this Bob Evans location! It was truly amazing. Our server, Liz, was incredibly friendly and efficient. She wasn't the only one - the entire team worked together, supporting one another to ensure all customers were well taken care of. The food was also delicious.
During our travels, we stopped at this restaurant for breakfast. The food was delicious and served promptly. The service was exceptional with our server, Shelly (or Michelle?), providing perfect attention to our needs. It was a great way to begin our vacation.
Taking into account the overall state of Springfield, Illinois and the labor market, this Bob Evans restaurant could have been worse. Amber provided reliable service, but there appears to be a lack of leadership within the establishment. Despite this, the workers are doing their best with the resources available to them. It seems that food portions have been reduced in order to cut costs.
Bob evans is one of the best breakfast chains I've ever had. the prices are fairly low with regular escapes from $6 to $12. the summer specialties are even lower and offer more variety. I have the Border Omelette and the Strawberry Baker. the omelette was really nice and fluffy with a kick from the jalapenos. it came with a side of hashbrowns. the strawberry was beautiful and $6.99 with an breakfast meat and a bowl. it was sweet and thick with brioche as broth and a sweet strawberry syrup with fresh strawberries. it's noisy because it's busy, but that's typical of an breakfast place imo. I would definitely go back here!
Terrible experience. we went on a Saturday at 1 o'clock and we had the worst experience. the waitresses were negligent and did not give us our side with our food. I ordered the avocado bowl and they put Hollandaise sauce on them instead of the Zilantro-Calc sauce that should have it and it made me sick. No one greeted us when we actually came, we were ignored until one of the waiters noticed that we were awhile standing. I will not come back to this unfriendly and lazy servant bob evans ever again.
