The entrees are excellent as well as portions. If you can overcome the noise and somewhat chaotic atmosphere it's worth giving this a go

I made a reservation for 6 at 6. It was for my Dad’s birthday and likely his last. I called the restaurant to let them know about the birthday and how important it was to celebrate. They did not disappoint. They went all out. We had a lovely table, excellent service and special treatment. After we ordered, our waitress let me know Dad’s meal was on the house. He has the largest full lobster I have ever seen. The table also had some salmon, grilled shrimp, beef tataki and a couple of the ribeye/ lobster specials. Everything was cooked to perfection. After dinner a birthday cake arrived and singing commenced. The whole area of customers also sang. I couldn’t have asked for more. Dad was so touched and thankful. I want to say a big Thank You to Black Rock. You made it so special.

Ashlin was an excellent waitress. She was very interactive, fun to talk with and really seems to enjoy her job.

Have been to Black Rock in the past and it has been great, hence our return. However, went this past weekend and I hope they just had an off night. First off, the two young hosts were working hard and I appreciate the work but they needed some experienced person overseeing them. Second, the lobster tank at the front had a dead, belly up lobster, sitting at the bottom. Not exactly sanitary, makes you question what we can't see. Regarding the food we ordered, my prime rib was cooked to a crisp and I ordered a medium, it was tough and just not good. The other dishes were drowned in their marinates. Couple minor tweaks in the kitchen and some good cleaning (steak knifes came dirty). Would like to return but not anytime soon after that visit.
