St. James offers a varied dining experience, with moments of bright culinary excellence often overshadowed by inconsistencies. While some dishes, such as the salmon and rice, impressed diners with their flavor and presentation, others, including the pizzas and burgers, fell short due to rubbery cheese and underwhelming patties. Customer service experiences range from exceptional, with attentive staff, to disappointing interactions marked by unprofessionalism. The vibrant atmosphere can be chaotic, especially during busy hours, and while certain menu items shine, there is a clear call for improved quality and a wider range of healthy options. Overall, potential remains, but improvements are needed to fully satisfy all guests.

Torn about how many stars to give this place. The setting is fabulous, and my meal (the blackened grouper sandwich) was delicious. Was with a party of at on a weeknight. The service was comically bad. Our server was pleasant, but we had to really make an effort to get his attention at every turn. It was happy hour, but we were immediately told that they were out of all of the happy hour wines. I ordered one of the cold-pressed juice options. Long after my tablemates received their cocktails, the server returned to tell me they were out of the ingredients to make my drink. OK. I ordered a different beverage the Grapeshot. A bit later the server returned couldn't do that one either. I opted for water. Two of us really loved our dishes, my sandwich and my tablemate's hamburger. Two of us enjoyed but didn't rave about theirs the kale quinoa salad with chicken, and the shaved ribeye sandwich. An order of brussels sprouts never appeared. Ordered a cup of gelato for dessert and it never appeared. Asked about it multiple times and was eventually offered it in a to-go cup as we were leaving. Two of our four checks had errors. Am guessing that the steady use by members, as well as folks there for an event will keep this place afloat because there are so few options close by. But if this were a stand-alone restaurant, the service would sink it very quickly.

I had reservations and we were seated immediately. Food is great and service staff is nice. However wait times to get food and drinks was really bad. We belong to TSJ and eat here infrequently bc of this, even though the food is delicious. There’s some kind of misconnect about how food is made bc it takes so long min.

Nearly every entree was sold out...waitress forgot to bring the sides, the drinks, super slow service, steak was cooked nicely but by the time the plate made it to my table everything was cold... i guess at least they comped our appetizer and cocktails when they removed the undelivered side and drink... won’t be racing back

Nice space. A bit pricey for what it is but it’s convenient after playing in SA&A. The music is really loud in the bathrooms but normal conversational level in the restaurant.

I ordered a 10 cheese pizza. I'm pretty certain they use cheddar cheese, which is blasphemy. Furthermore, There was practically no flavor to it at all. Very boring, and far too expensive for the quality. 17$ for a 10 pizza? I'm not trying to be mean whenI say this, but it was the worst pizza I've ever had.
