I ordered a 10 cheese pizza. I'm pretty certain they use cheddar cheese, which is blasphemy. Furthermore, There was practically no flavor to it at all. Very boring, and far too expensive for the quality. 17$ for a 10 pizza? I'm not trying to be mean whenI say this, but it was the worst pizza I've ever had.

I have a membership to The St. James and I have to admit the food quality of the restaurant, specifically the breakfast, does not translate to the quality you would expect for the cost of the membership. I will start with the breakfast. I have eatenbreakfast items from here at least five times. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches are pre-cooked and reheated when ordered. Sometimes they are piping hot, other times the middle is soggy and cold. The Belgian waffle is the quality you would get at aHampton Inn free breakfast minus you don't get to pour the batter into the griddle and flip it yourself. Today especially, Iwent with my husband for a quick breakfast date. He ordered the waffle and I ordered the sandwich. He also got bacon with itwhich is the pre-cooked Oscar Meyer type that is completely unhealthy and full of preservatives. Considering we pay extra forthe food, that isn't included in the $400/month membership, I would expect higher quality food. Our meal today was $28. Wecould have went to The Silver Diner and got two meals on their breakfast menu for that price and it would have been fresher andtasted better. It seems like breakfast is an after thought. As far as lunch and dinner, the food is better. I imagine theymake more of their money off that menu because distraught mothers put their kids in childcare and come have several glasses ofwine and a meal with their husbands. It's really the bar that probably makes the money in the evenings. I have tried theircheeseburger, various skewers, fries, avocado toast and salads. The skewers and fries are the best. Their cheeseburger wasdecent, definitely not the best since besides coffee I love trying cheeseburgers at different establishments. Their avocadotoast is pretty good. Service--in general the waiters and waitresses are friendly and professional, however, the service can beslow. I don't think that reflects on the waitstaff though. The atmosphere is a little sterile, but it

It’s not bad for what it is, but could offer a lot more. For instance, you have a decent beer selection yet insist on serving it in plastic cups instead of proper glasses… this isn’t college, let’s elevate a bit. For that matter, I’m surprisedthat I can’t get a coffee in a proper cup, either. There seems to be a lot of staff, yet food orders don’t move veryefficiently.

Nice space. A bit pricey for what it is but it’s convenient after playing in SA&A. The music is really loud in the bathrooms but normal conversational level in the restaurant.

I was conflicted about how many stars to give Vim And Victor. The ambiance was fantastic, and my meal—the blackened grouper sandwich—was truly delicious. I visited with a group of four on a weeknight around 6:30 PM. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Our server was friendly but difficult to catch, which made for a frustrating experience. Despite it being happy hour, we were told they had run out of all happy hour wines. I tried to order a cold-pressed juice but was later informed they were out of the necessary ingredients. When I switched to ordering a Grapeshot, that was unavailable as well, so I ended up just drinking water. Two of us were very pleased with our meals—my sandwich and a friend’s hamburger—while the other two enjoyed their dishes, the kale quinoa salad with chicken and the shaved ribeye sandwich, without being overly impressed. We never received our brussels sprouts or the cup of gelato we’d ordered for dessert. After multiple inquiries, the gelato was finally brought out in a to-go cup as we were leaving. Additionally, two of our four checks had errors. I suspect Vim And Victor’s steady clientele from members and event attendees keeps it afloat, as there aren’t many alternatives nearby. However, if it were operating independently, the poor service would likely be its downfall. The menu shows promise, but the execution needs improvement.
