Everyone that worked there seemed g... read more 2nd time in and still love this place. It’s located in a truck stop but really popular with the locals too so it stays busy. Everyone that worked there seemed genuinely glad to have you there First off, SOUPS! They have the best homemade soup around. This time it was chicken and stars and a beef barley. I had both and they were excellent. I also got a chicken fried steak that was a huge portion with mashed spuds and a choice of gravy. The menu has Italian, American and even Greek? The local delicacy is the Horseshoe which is an open faced sandwich with a liberal covering of cheese whiz. I tried it the time before and the cheese whiz was a bit much so caveat emptor on that. Do NOT pass on the homemade desserts. The cheesecake rocks! If this place was local I’d be in there all the time.
