Was Christopher Jankowski at Vann a mag?
On February 6, 2022, I had an extraordinary evening at Vann Restaurant. The new menu is simply breathtaking, and every dish we tried was delicious and bursting with flavor. A big thank you to Chef Erik and Calvin for making our experience so memorable! The food was truly outstanding, and the service was top-notch—knowledgeable and attentive. Vann Restaurant, under Chef Erik's leadership, truly excels in both food and... View all feedback.

What D J dislikes about Vann:
We dined here for our anniversary on Saturday and found it to be a charming little spot near the water. While the presentation of the food was lovely, we felt that the flavors fell short. The scallops were served in an interesting manner, but their texture was somewhat mushy, and the topping didn't provide the extra flavor we were hoping for. The squid broth was quite good, but the dish overall had a strong fishy tas... View all feedback.

We dined here this past Saturday and felt underwhelmed. The service was good, but the routine of the dinner doesn't require much service. You order a drink, then you order your three courses all at once, then you are served a course at a time. This style of service doesn't require an attentive staff.I should've looked prior to booking, but liquor/cocktails are not available for beverage options; they have beer and wine available. We were expecting a nice craft cocktail menu to pair with the meal. However, we were served a nice bottle of wine according to our taste/request for a dry red.The menu requires an explanation which seems a bit pretentious. The courses are small and left us questioning if we wanted to stop somewhere else for another bite to eat. As a couple, we usually share an appetizer and share an entree; we both had our own appetizer and our own entree. My husband had the trout and I had the beef. The trout was meek in flavor. The beef was flavorful. Both desserts were good.It was our first experience at Vann and with the cost being around $300 w/tip and lack luster experience, it won't be high on our lists to try again. I really appreciate the possibility of this restaurant, but think there is room for improvement.

Dinner was wonderful! It was our first visit, and we were truly impressed. Heather, who was our server, along with Calvin, who assisted us in selecting the wine, and of course Erik, made the experience absolutely perfect! We can’t wait for our next visit!

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The chef prepared our food to perfection, allowing us to relax without feeling rushed. It was a fantastic experience! Regarding dietary restrictions, they are very attentive to individual needs. We also found parking to be hassle-free, and it was complimentary.

Pleasant atmosphere and great food! We had been wanting to try it out for a while and finally did for our anniversary last weekend. I liked the cozy setting and generous space from other tables. The smoked Sturgeon and Veloute were amazing! If theyare on the menu get them. My husband didn't get as much of a horseradish flavor on the venison as he was hoping, but it wasmelt in your mouth texture and juicy. Dessert was lovely. Highly recommend!

A chef left to his own devices, a rotating three course menu, excellent wine by the glass or bottle, and knowledgable servers. Some of these dishes just blew me away with flavor and creativity. The best soup I've ever had. It's a really fun experience, and the atmoshpere is very approachable and even a little casual. It all makes you feel right at home, cozied up with a decentview of the lake. Go!
