Description

Despite some mixed reviews, Jak + Hill appears to be a popular spot for breakfast and brunch. The dishes, such as the Messy Eggs, Roast Pumpkin Bruchetta, Benidict, and sautéed mushrooms, all receive praise for their taste and quality. The variety on the breakfast menu is appreciated, and the coffee is also noted as being good. The atmosphere is cozy, with rustic decor adding to the overall charm. While some diners have experienced issues with service, such as long wait times and lack of attention from staff, others have found the service to be friendly and pleasant. Overall, Jak + Hill seems to be a decent choice for a meal in the CBD, with some improvements to be made in terms of consistency and service quality.

Wow, really surprised with the mixed reviews. Had brekkie here on a sunday morning. I had the Messy Eggs and she had the Roast Pumpkin Bruchetta. My eggs looked less than impressive when served but they really delivered on taste, delicious. The chilli sauce was kinda smokey, very very nice. Would love the recipe. Her bruchetta looked and tasted great but I was too busy devouring mine to take much more notice of it. Coffee was nice. All in all, pretty good. Would definitely return.

A very pretentious and quite disgusting cafe. I mean disgusting that we were scraping the bottom of jam jars for our breakfast toast, literally. The lids of the jam were mouldy and horrible dry specks of jam. It would have been much nicer having the jam served on ramekins. However in saying that the ramekin that did come out with a tiny butter round was dirty. The bread was thick cut but cold and really didn't seem to be toasted. The coffee was ok... But the thought of an ecoli infection clouded my enjoyment with friends.

Nice place, but seriously how hard is it to cook scramble eggs. My eggs came out dry and looked like an omelette smashed up, they were cooked In microwave. What happened to old fashion cooking them on the stove in a saucepan. Not rocket science people. That rating is because of my eggs. Hated them

Hold up in Brisbane on a Saturday after my Friday flight was cancelled I found a lot of the city cafes dosed on the weekend . I have no regrets finding this place , great atmosphere , lovely staff, coffee was just the way I like it and I had a delicious healthy well presented breakfast . I took the eggs Benedict as my base because I liked the combination with avo, feta cherry tomatoes and rosti with no bread but I ditched the hollandaise and added halumi and chilli jam . Yum !

I had the eggs Benedict (or st least their version). It was fresh, delicious and had me wanting more! Eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon was just the way I like it. Coffee was good, service was great and the atmosphere just what you want when you are eating breakfast. You can also get kombucha here too! Only criticism I have is that I wish they had some stevia for their customer to use in their coffees instead of just having raw sugar.
