I tried the catfish and shrimp snack plate, and I was impressed! The catfish was well-seasoned, and the shrimp were large and delicious. The menu offers a great variety, including both grilled and fried options. My only complaint is that they serve gumbo, but unfortunately, they only have chicken and sausage gumbo, not seafood.
The food was not the best. The fish is not catfish. I think they use swai, it 's a cheaper alternative to catfish. The batter tries to camouflage the swai as catfish, after a few bites I knew something was off. To make matters worse, the cheese grits were forgettable. They were cold, seasoned instant grits. It was not appetizing at all. The short cuts taken aren 't worth it. The food could be good if they would just stick to quality ingredients. Scrap the ****! If you go, I 'd proceed cautiously. I 'm disappointed and expected more.
I ordered the fish and shrimp po boy through Uber Eats. I only received fish and not shrimp on my sandwich. I asked for the sauce to be on the side it was still on the sandwich. I also asked for extra tomatoes and did not get that. I added sides to my order but was not given them either. I was told I did not pay for the sides. The way they have you to order off their menu on Uber Eats will mess you up every time. If you don’t automatically click combo at the bottom before u choose your sides, you will not receive them. The menu on Uber Eats need to be fixed or you will have plenty of people complaining.
At first, the service at Catfish Station was outstanding, but it has sadly declined significantly. The staff appears to lack fundamental skills, struggling with even simple tasks like counting, and their method of assembling orders is chaotic at best. I cannot recommend spending your hard-earned money here; you’ll probably leave feeling quite disappointed. Consider this a warning!
I decided to drive over from The Woodlands to Catfish Station today because their catfish is phenomenal every time I visit. However, I think they could improve their customer service. There was someone behind the counter named Damia (no offense), but he mumbled while talking, making it hard for me to understand him. When I approached, he didn’t greet me or ask how he could help; he just stared. Even though the food here is excellent, a bit more focus on customer service would be greatly appreciated.
