We had high expectations because our host told us that i... read more Ate here during our stay in Spoltore last month. Our Host from the B&B reserved this restaurant for us. We had high expectations because our host told us that it was a very good gastronomic restaurant, and because the price was comparable to some 1 star michelin restaurants i have been to. The hostess was a bit cold and a bit snooty, just like the rest of the staff who also looked like they were on the edge. But the view made it a bit better. All of us took the tasting menu with wine pairing for more than 100€ per person. Unfortunately, It was disappointing and the service was not up to par with the price we paid. There were times where the server didn't explain to us the dish and just handed the food to us. During one course, they even forgot to give utensils to one of my friends. They looked like they were in a rush when there weren't even a lot of customers in the restaurant. Also, at one point, we heard one waiter getting scolded and she later on threw a bottle on the side. Overall, the food was ok but It wasn't worth 80€. Just another pretentious restaurant with basic tasting overpriced food and snobby staff who can't even provide quality service that other gastronomic restaurants offers.

Not only was th... read more We visited for my partners birthday, as we were staying in Spoltore and the restaurant was recommended by our host and we were not disappointed! Not only was the view amazing looking over the Italian hills and countryside, but so was the service. Our Italian is shocking, so our waitress and chef took the time to explain the entire menu to us in English which was greatly appreciated. As for the food, it was amazing! Not only very well presented but full of flavour yes it was expensive; but it was absolutely worth every penny!!! We'd certainly have no hesitation in returning or recommending. Spoltore is worth a visit in it's own right, so worth making the effort to see....

From the beginn... read more Supposedly worthy of a Michelin star (told by a local), but having been to several restaurants with 1 to 3 stars, this restaurant came up short. From the beginning service forgot my drink but apologized, dishes were overzealous with very basic food topped or garnished with non-complimentary items (eg, Ravioli had a raw fish sprinkled on top which they didn’t know the name in English and added zero flavor or texture to; They asked if I’d like the steak Medium Rare so I assumed they knew what that meant. Instead, steak wasn’t removed in time to account for the extra cooking within as it arrived at the table -got a solid Medium with Medium Well areas and the coffee ground garnish that seeped onto the steak and vegetables ruined the taste. Even the simple port sauce over the steak was nothing to write home about. Pictures look better that actual taste. Side note, I’m a foodie that enjoys food for every category. I’d never rate a burger joint in comparison to a posh sit down restaurant. For the price they charge, and the ambiance they’re trying to achieve, I truly hope they bring in a top notch chef so that it becomes a restaurant that’s packed and hard to get a reservation at by my next visit. Great view and location!
