Reviews summary

Stepping into Spokane's fully vegan restaurant feels like a culinary escape, offering an inviting atmosphere complemented by exceptional service. Diners rave about the diverse menu, which includes everything from crispy "not chicken" burgers to rich mac and cheese, winning over even the pickiest eaters, including children. Guests commend the creative cocktails, homemade ginger beer, and decadent desserts like triple chocolate cheesecake. While the restaurant’s ambiance and seasonal menu changes create a memorable experience, some minor service hiccups, such as unexpected charges and reservations, remain. Overall, this vibrant eatery is a must-visit for plant-based dining enthusiasts.

The food was amazing. Even the non-vegans in my family loved it.

I'd eat here in a way. traveled from denver and this place not disappointed. everything we tried was delicious and that mac and be worth the trip alone. Love to see full vegan restaurants, and the service was great.

This restaurant is 100% vegan, with a children's menu available. They offer craft cocktails for adults and provide colored pencils with a pencil sharpener for children. We tried the crispy "not chicken" burgers, Rut Burger, children's mac and cheese, children's chicken strips, and adult mac and cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meal, including our picky children. For dessert, we tried the donut holes and the triple chocolate cheesecake, both of which were delicious. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has definitely earned a high rating from us.

From the atmosphere to the food to the staff all top notch! First time going here it felt like I was somewhere other than Spokane in the best way possible! Classic and modern cocktails, housemaid ginger beer, and the food was incredible!

Tried out 3 dishes here. The Thai ginger cauliflower wings were well seasoned, but not repeat worthy. The Jackfruit tacos were delicious but too oily because of excess salsa macha. The vegan chicken wrap was outstanding I would definitely repeat it. It used tamarind sauce, cilantro and Caribbean spices, and ended up tasting like an Indian Frankie roll. All the ingredients from the wrap, cabbage to crispy chicken were high quality, fresh and impeccably prepared.

The food and drinks are delicious. The brats and potato dish with mustard seeds was filling and tasty, lots of flavor. The drinks are generously sized and flavorful. We ordered the vegan cherry cheesecake and house-made ice cream based on the waiter's recommendation. The cheesecake was decent and large, but I liked the ice cream better just because I can make a better vegan cheesecake and I was too stuffed to finish it.

So I live in Post Falls, but have no problem driving 30 minutes to this place. The food is SO delicious and VERY consistent. I don’t eat out at most restaurants due to the lack of quality and care that noticeably goes into their menus. I know with pure confidence that the cooks at Rut genuinely care about the quality of what they put out. The menu is so creative and nothing from Spokane to CDA compares. Truly a gem this place. Also, Much love to the amazing service this place provides, every time. (Especially Dianna)

Delicious, most if not all of the menu sounded amazing. Pomegranate limeade is top notch, my bf love love loves the not-chicken sandwich. (If you get take out ask for utensils if needed, I ate my bokchoy bowl with no fork

Service and Ambiance Very nice ambiance, our server was very nice. Still not entirely sure if they allow dogs, did overhear some talk about my pup while we were there. Food Food was pretty delicious, and very surprised by how not vegan it tasted! We got their Buffalo cauliflower “wings”, Thai ginger cauliflower “wings”, truffle Mac N cheese, and matcha hibiscus cheesecake. They were just called “wings”, tasted more like cauliflower bites. If only the coating wasn’t that thick. Mac N Cheese had a whole lot of turmeric in it and truffle oil didn’t really come through. Drinks We got the Paloma and Mint Julep. The mint julep was V sweet . not a huge fan but Paloma tasted really good! Overall In all the food was really good! Definitely check it out when you’re in Spokane.
