Degar’s Reef Taco - Spokane
Degar’s Reef Taco
Description
Reef Tacos has garnered a diverse array of feedback from patrons. While some rave about the flavorful Reef Burrito and the fresh ingredients in their fish tacos, others lament the sogginess and overwhelming cabbage in the dishes. Visitors note issues with the mayo aioli and inconsistent cooking freshness. Although the service is often praised for its friendliness, the menu variety and value for money have raised concerns. Overall, Reef Tacos offers delightful experiences for some, but others may find room for improvement amidst its charming, local vibe.

This place used to be called Taco Del Mar before covid hit. I very much like the change they did with the place. You cant customize your food like before anymore, the whole menu is preselected food but the quality is great. I feel like the portion sizes are better now, you get your moneys worth and they got vegan options now which is fantastic!
I had been eagerly anticipating trying this restaurant for a while, but unfortunately, my experience was not as I had hoped. I ordered two of their signature Reef fish tacos for lunch today and the main problem was that they were soggy. The battered fish took a long time to arrive and it did not seem to be cooked fresh to order. The breading was heavy and mushy, and the toppings added even more moisture. I think reducing the amount of cabbage, mayo aioli, and fruit salsa by about 60% would improve the tacos, but I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.
Just had the shrimp taco for my first visit here. My only complaint is that I didn’t get myself another! Great ingredients, simple menu and fantastic flavor. I’ll definitely be back.
We miss the DelMar Tacos. This place is more expensive, and not worth it’s extremely limited variety. If you absolutely love purple cabbage you will love this place. The guy says their tacos are twice as big as the previous company name, Delmar Taco... he is full of bunk. The fish on their taco is identical to Delmar’s... but, the cabbage is 4 times the amount... and they add an extra corn tortilla. No matter what you order... they all have the overloaded purple cabbage... and the exact fruit/tomato salsa mixture... burritos, tacos, chips, etc. The chicken tastes like it was in the refrigerator... no warmth at all... and again, overloaded with purple cabbage. Don’t expect them to stay in business long. Too expensive and flavors are all the same.
