Azteca Mexican Restaurants
Description
Azteca delivers a satisfying dining experience with its vibrant Tex-Mex flavors and generous portions. Patrons rave about the chicken and mole enchiladas, both featuring a delightful chipotle essence complemented by a hint of sweetness. Though the salsa excels in flavor, it tends to be mild on spice, while the rice and beans could use a flavor boost. With an inviting atmosphere and attentive service, Azteca remains a reliable choice for comfort food lovers. Its combination platters offer great value, making it a must-visit when craving hearty and delicious Mexican fare.

The mole enchiladas are very strong flavored with chipotle, and moderately sweet in a good way. Salsa has exceptional flavor, but lacks heat. Rice was sufficient, but beans are tasteless.
Good food, large portions and good value. Mixed drinks are a bit weak but tasty. Family enjoyed the meal. Had shredded beef enchilada with a Chile Rellano. Son had the Mariscos Mojo be Ajo.
Our meal was so good! We traveled from southern Arizona and looked forward to a great meal! Noel and Lindsey took great care of us! After being out of the area for 12 years it was so nice to see Noel again! Lindsey was awesome! Thanks!
I have ate at Azteca countless times throughout the years but our most recent dining experience was on Friday, July 23. I really don’t think you can go wrong with Azteca, the food is always consistent and good. Prices are about average for a Mexican restaurant and the portions are large. I usually just choose the 1-item combination platter $10.75) because the portions are so plentiful and because I always fill up on the chips and salsa. The servers bring out big baskets of chips and always refill them no questions asked. Although I do usually opt for the combination platters, the blanco burrito is something on the menu that I have ventured out and tried before and it is excellent and unique. On Friday night our server was Alex and he did a nice job. Like I said, Azteca won’t disappoint if you are in the mood for Mexican.
This restaurant hits the marks if you know what you 're getting into: it 's important to note that Azteca is a Tex Mex restaurant and as such will stray a bit from the authentic Mexican food. That said the food is good and the portions generous. Add to that the very fair pricing and Azteca is a restaurant worth the drive if you are jonesing for some Tex Mex.
