Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

The hotel is situated in a truly picturesque location, adjacent to a charming countryside pub. The pub boasts a lovely, secluded English garden, and the dining experience was enjoyable at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to write a more extensive review, but I have many positive things to say. It’s definitely worth a visit for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that is also dog-friendly.

A great pub. good food, well kept beer (black sheep was on when I visited. )big service and very friendly staff. enjoy their meal in a beautiful beer garden, weather permit! one of my favorite pubs!.

Went for Sunday lunch with 14 people to celebrate a special birthday. The food was excellent and puddings to die for. Staff were so helpful and friendly ? Look forward to going again. Would highly recommend.

Well, what can I say! Very impressed with this short break! My sister booked us in at a lodge in ‘The Retreat the Inn’ within the Hundleby Inn which I have to say has been a total breath of fresh air. We were welcomed in from the start by a great couple, Steve Angela. The Lodge had a great welcome pack of goodies and right from the get go it was a start of just a wonderful holiday. The grounds are so relaxing and quiet. The owners are a true genuine couple who really do pride themselves in customer satisfaction and it really shows! The beer garden and grounds were so well thought out and inviting, a joy to sit in. The food and drink in the Hundleby Inn pub was just bang on the money. Let’s start with Steve’s beer and cider selection. I really like a publican who knows his Ale’s and the selection he offers to patrons. Steve really demonstrated this. I engaged him on all his beers and I tested them all, which was great fun ; . He showed true knowledge and depth of knowledge in his beverages. The ‘Black Sheep Ale’ and the ‘Angry Orchard cider’ certainly got me hooked. The beer was well kept and the exemplary service coupled with great local banter was tipped over the edge with the addition of the British RAF memorabilia adorning the walls. A very enjoyable location which I can’t wait to come back to so I can also sample Steve’s extensive range of single malt whiskeys. As for Angela’s food, the real star of the show. It was worth the trip on its own. Great steak, homemade steak pie, fish and chips with banging onion rings….well….the list goes on! We all loved it and I can’t wait to get back and have more. Well done guys, you’ve nailed this pub, food and accommodation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this great venue to anyone!!!
