Cafe-Konditorei Schlosser - Speyer

We stopped here after visiting the cathedral for a bite to eat and something to drink. The service and food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. They also have free internet to catch up with things while you rest a bit.

This was a very pleasant café on a hot and sunny day with lots of outside seating - mostly occupied by locals. A reasonably good menu for breakfast or brunch.

We were wanting an early lunch before leaving town and stopped here. They had several breakfast combos available but also a lunch menu offering flamkuchen, soup, and sandwiches. We sat in the back staring at the dozen or so delicious looking cakes. Wish I'd had room to try one--they all looked divine! Next time I'll go there strictly for the German coffee & cake combo. Our lunch was solid and made for an easy place with small kids.

We stopped by this cafe for a quick coffee and cake while walking around downtown Speyer. The cappuccino was very tasty and my wife and I ordered a piece of cheesecake and a piece of strawberry cake. The cheesecake was nice, but I highly recommend the strawberry cake! Sitting on the outdoor patio, you have a very nice view of the Speyer Dom and walking/shopping zone.
