This is a charming spot with a lovely atmosphere. We stopped in Spartanburg on our way from Charlotte to Asheville specifically for Le Spice. Initially, we were hesitant when we discovered it's not a full-service café, but the food turned out to be exceptional. The crepes filled with speck, egg, and brie, paired with escargot (yes, escargot for breakfast!), were simply delightful. If you ever find yourself in Spartan... View all feedback.
The French onion soup was amazing! Although I didn’t order it, they do offer glass bottle cheerwine.
This place surprised me so much. The flavor of their crapes is amazing and my own mother would be jealous. The bread is made here and all ingredients simply hit the spot.
Tried taking the daughter someone different. She liked the crepes, but hated the brie cheese. Prices were not bad, but also weren't cheap. Didn't have any options for children. Food was cooked to order and tasted fresh. Not a terrible experience but definitely not a place to take the kids. 4 out of 5.
Fairly good first visit. Missed getting to try the onion jam I ordered. Good food, friendly people, steep prices. The burger bun definitely seemed fresh baked. The sweetfries were nice. I hope they make it through the COVID-19 shutdown and growing pains of a newer business.
During my first visit, I ordered the duck bun—an excellent choice! The duck was wonderfully crispy, packed with flavor, and not at all dry. The bun was substantial enough to hold everything together yet soft enough to melt in my mouth. The pickles added a delightful zing, making every bite a real treat. I also ordered a side of fries, which were perfectly crispy. On my way out, I couldn't resist ordering a blueberry Danish with an orange glaze—it was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. I also picked up a chocolate croissant for my wife, and she loved it. The following day, I found myself back at Le Spice, this time in the parking lot. I treated myself to another blueberry Danish and ordered a croissant filled with dark chocolate for my wife. My coworker accidentally took my meal instead of his, but I think he enjoyed it without any complaints. It's still a mystery how he confused the blueberry dish with a mango one, but since he didn't share, I’ll chalk that up as a win for Le Spice. Saturday morning seemed like a great opportunity to bring my wife and kids to taste their offerings. This time, I tried the Thai green curry bowl with chicken while my wife ordered the Asian steak and eggs. We also shared a crepe stack with our daughters. One of them is adventurous with food, while the other is more selective, but both enjoyed every bite. The curry was fantastic, bursting with coconut flavor and just the right amount of spice. The chicken was tender and flavorful. My wife's steak was perfectly cooked, beautifully crispy on the outside, and the greens had what I suspect was a peanut glaze—it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were decent, though they were just standard scrambled. We also shared some croissants and a bowl of French onion soup. The soup was incredible, packed with onions and featuring a rich broth, though it didn't come topped with the traditional cheese we expected. Instead, there was a different cheese along with some bread. While I’m not sure what type of cheese it was, it was still very good, just not the classic French style we’re used to. It also looked different from what we've seen in other photos, so ours might have been a unique version for some reason. I have already been back multiple times, and I must admit that I fear I might become a regular at Le Spice now that I know about their high-quality food. I wholeheartedly recommend this place; if you give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
