You can tell this restaurant has just reopened, it has a few things to work out. However, having said that the food was very good and the service was good as well. They explained their renovations and it does sound like it will be very nice when it is finished. When the weather is nicer and the outdoor patio is opened it should be amazing. Definitely worth a try. View all feedback.

My wife and I were excited to try this new restaurant. We saw pictures of the food, the new chef, and it looked amazing. We made a reservation and went. The restaurant was nearly empty during prime time on a Thursday night. We shrugged it off. We were seated promptly and greeted warmly. Then we spent several minutes waiting for the wait staff. She was very nice and apologized for being new to the restaurant world. We had plenty of time to look at the menu, and it had our mouths watering. The salads came out first. They were decent. Nothing too special or fancy. Then the entrees arrived. We looked at the plates, looked at each other, and felt something was not quite right. The flavor was non-existent. The plate presentation was average. It was just plain disappointing. We both agreed the chef had to have taken the day off. For the menu prices, there are numerous other establishments that have much better fare.
Wow! What an amazing evening we had together at this beautiful restaurant in Spartanburg, SC. The food and service were the best I've had in the area. The Spinach dip was divine and the atmosphere was lovely. Thank you.
Please train staff properly I know they tried. Things like bring bread , crackers without asking , ask how you want meat , fish cooked, ask if want coffee ,dessert. We had to cancel dessert waited at least minutes . I like atmosphere and food was good but without experienced wait staff you won't survive.
The food and environment are good and the staff is friendly but attention to detail was missing. We ordered a salad and our hot food came about min after our salad arrived so it had to sit on the table getting cool while we ate our salad. No one ever came to get our salad plates or our dinner plates. When we left both sets of plates were still sitting on the table. The potatoes were a bit too salty but other than that the food was excellent. They were very accommodating about splitting plates for us at no extra charge. They also got us out the door in time to make our theatre time.
After making reservations I then looked at the reviews. Wasn't sure that we would have a good meal. Surprisingly they seemed to have worked through most of the issues. The service was good. The food was delicious and well presented. The only drawback the was noticed was the limited wine selection. We will be back. Interestingly the former Back Porch opened the same time of year with some of the same pains.
