The bar was stunning, clean, and full of energy. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the service was friendly. Our server was knowledgeable and polite, without being intrusive. I highly recommend this bar/restaurant for a casual outing or even for a special occasion. We will definitely be coming back! What Ceasar Spinka doesn't like about 1884:
Nice atmosphere and I was pleased with my service. The menu is kind of all over the place which is rarely a good sign. The fried green tomatoes were ok. The bulgogi bowl was just a plate of rice with some beef, kimchi, and egg. The flavor of the beef was good but not what I was expecting for $17 and will disappoint you if you are familiar with Korean food. The wines by the glass I tried all tasted like they had been... Great place for lunch. It service is kind of slow, but overall great atmosphere. Love the God and the ambience. The service is sometimes long. I hope you're not sitting on the roof in the sun waiting for your food.
Good quality food just a tad expensive, good atmosphere, but the food takes a bit longer, like 20-30 minutes. Total fantastic place to eat! In summer they open the terrace that is quite awesome!
I can't say enough about Bar 1884, AMAZING!! I was for dinner and brunch, the food is spectacular the atmosphere is welcoming and location perfect!!! I had chickens and waffles that I am so picky because I am my own lol, but the waffle battery is made to order, so it is customizable and so delicious! I had the salmon, crab-steam, Brussel-spinning and lastly the melt in your mouth brat short ribs. All made to perfection, Kudos to cook?. If you have not been in this little hidden gem in downtown, run!!!
Amazing atmosphere! Came in for Happy hour/Dinner on a nice self date. It’s very clean and well decorated with a cafe ambience; I took the window seat it has a nice view of downtown . The staff was wonderful [Tanesha] was the only one working the bar/floor at the time, but she held it down!I had the Ménage a trois moscato, duck wings which were absolutely to DIE FOR! No ranch no blue cheese needed! Than I tried the shrimp tacos and parm fries!! When I tell you the fries were seasoned perfectly.. the tacos were good, I’d probably tweak to my own personal taste next time but they were awesome overall!I’d highly recommend for a nice comfy meal! Very delicious and filling!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly has kid optionsParking: Parking garage or sidewalk
