After a long day in Acadia we found ourselves heading back to our Airbnb in Tremont. We were not wanting the crowded streets of Bar Harbor. It also seemed that many places had closed for the season in spite of the crowds and the fact that it was only Oct. 13. We came in at 6:45 knowing that they closed at 7pm. What S K doesn't like about Little Notch Bakery And Café:
Stopped to get a few pastries for dessert. They were perfectly fine, but way overpriced. For reference, we stopped for pastry every day the week prior to this and never paid more than half for similar items. Unless you're in a pinch, I'd skip this place. View all feedback.
The #12 pizza is to die for. Cooked perfectly, great crust and the right ratio of toppings. Excellent pizza!!! Oh, and the staff was pretty great too!

They graciously fixed us a fabulous pizza to go. They were even taking orders after ours. Our pizza was a delicious brick oven pizza, not just a quick stop slice. The staff was very kind and didn't make us feel bad for dropping in at the last minute. Top notch service and food! I will definitely go out of my way to return next time we are in the area. Hands down this was one of the best meals we had on our 10 day journey along the coast!
We were quite disappointed with our experience at this bakery. It had been suggested to us by quite a few people, so we had high hopes. We got four pastries and a ham and cheese croissant. Of the pastries, only the ginger cookie was noteworthy. Perfectly soft and chewy. The other two were mediocre the blueberry tart and the sticky bun.My boyfriend had asked if they could heat his ham and cheese croissant and they told him no. Which is pretty absurd. Who wants a cold ham and cheese croissant? While we had been waiting in line, we noted the prices of other items. $20 for a super small pizza, we discovered a six pack of small blueberry muffins was $18. None of the pastries in the case showed prices, we had to ask. And this place was ridiculously overpriced for the quality.Save yourself the time and money and go to Milagro down the road. Better baked goods and better service.
$6.50 for the small blueberry tart- decent, but not really for the price. But this is the era we live in.
