The restaurant was clean and quiet, with a few customers, possibly due to it being daytime. The staff was friendly and my order arrived within 10 minutes. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a regular meal. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Gourmet Burger Kitchen East Dulwich:
It was not possible to order gluten-free food through the app, so I had to wait for two slow individuals in front of me to place their orders. Taking one order at a time is inefficient. While I was ordering, the person making milkshakes was extremely loud (this continued throughout my visit) that the server took the wrong order. There was no chicken available on the menu, and also no side salads. Additionally, there... View all feedback.
We had a really bad experience in the dulwich gourmet burger kitchen. When I and my family arrived, there was a television with very loud football that was extinguishing. only the workers behind the counter seem to watch the football and they pointed-blind... to turn off the sound. this made it very difficult to talk to my mother. also the cutlery on the table was dirty! Many of the items on the menu do not seem to be available, such as the beer and the truffle cheese fries. we were not greeted when we came to the restaurant or asked if we wanted any drinks. the personal brought our food after we ordered in the app, but there was little to no interaction, even if we decided to go. also the toilets were incredibly dirty with paper on the floor and overflowing bins and a wet toilet seat, very unhygienic. it seems that the employees were more interested in watching football, then helping customers or keeping the restaurant clean! I didn't want to leave a bad review like this online, so I followed with the gourmet burger kitchen. I answered her feedback form that she sent me with this review email. I also went to her website and emailed her about the problem. they never bothered to come back to me.
We ordered via Deliveroo 30 minute wait was excellent Food arrived hot and spot on they even added tomatoes ketchup The only hiccup was the GBK frequent user app isn’t updated Love the salad option when going bun-less
I used the app to order and collect. Worked perfectly. Went naked on the bun and loved the replacement salad. Good service but not great as the bloke behind the counter took my name and couldn’t find my order so he reverted to preparing his...drinks…but the manager saw me and she handed over my order straight away
We ordered a delivery this evening the most expensive delivery we've had, and yet the lowest quality food. The food was ABSOLUTELY STONE COLD when it arrived (five minutes after leaving the shop, according to my delivery app). Portions were very small, and the...vegetarian burger that I paid a whopping £12.25 for was basically indistinguishable from one of the frozen plant-based quarter pounders you get in Tesco, which are usually about two for £3. It had barely been half cooked, before being left to go cold again before delivery. My wife commented that realistically we should have paid at least £10 less for what we got; we were both still hungry afterwards. I thought the word Gourmet in the title alluded in some way to quality, but in fact this basically the standard you'd expect from a particularly bottom of the range kebab shop.
No problem with the service but was BEYOND disappointed that the sweet potato fries no longer come with baconnaise. Please make this an option or I literally will never return because that was GBK's whole selling point IMO. The range of burgers has also gone...down loads, the old camemburger (with truffle mayo and skinny fries inside the burger) was the best one and it's ridiculously sad that it's never made a comeback. I'm just venting but I honestly think it's awful business strategy to get rid of baconnaise it's the thing people remember and always mention when talking about GBK. A travesty.
