What Tony B doesn't like about The Fresh Olive Company:
This is not the only olive stall in Borough Market, nor the largest, and it is hidden at the end, in a corner, but all the selection looks attractive and 'fresh' is the word. We have had their stuffed chili olives before: whole chili peppers (red or green) sticking out of them, and they pack a valuable punch for those who are into the spicy experience. The friendly staff at the accessible booth are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. They will be happy to offer suggestions and samples to ensure you make the right choice to accompany your meal. Forget about olives from a jar, once you've tried these plump, juicy olives, there's no going back.
Tucked into a corner, this stall has a fantastic choice of olives with a variety of herbs and spices love the Moroccan ones with preserved lemons. Also huge tubs of freekeh for a really good price. Well worth a visit.
As an olive lover I had a wonderful time sampling the many varieties and had trouble deciding which ones to buy. I reluctantly shared them with family and they all agreed.
