Spice Republic - Southwark

Since I moved to london 8 months ago, perfect every time. very juicy meat and full taste, thick sauce not oily.

This restaurant has recently been updated by only one take-off and the owners make a really good work. the service is friendly and genuine our waiter helped us to choose some dishes to suit our taste. we had herbal samosa and prawn puri for appetizers and lamb bungalow and chicken passanda for net with peshwari nann and pilau reis. everything was freshly cooked and really delicious. we even had a mango leti that was not on the menu. this is a bit away from the main road, but it is worth visiting for a curry in a cozy atmosphere.

In the pandemic we have tried quite every Indian outlier within a radius of 3 miles, in the hope to find a jewel, and that is it. twice ordered in the last weeks, and eating was perfect every time. I hope they stay consistent as we have found our Curry place. really excellent.

Friendly staff, good service. Clean. Naan very yummy, prawn dishes excellent. Rice absolutely fine, despite what another reviewer has put. Everything else was good and correct. Currently BYOB but there's an off licence next door. Go for it!
