What andreasbdobson doesn't like about Museum Cafe:
Asked for the largest meal on the menu and received a scattering of chopped sausage and potato (around 3 slices of each) with a fried egg on top. We soon realised why the cafe was empty when all of the other restaurants and cafes had queues out of the door. View all feedback. What poodledoop likes about Museum Cafe:
Wonderful lemon poppy cake, good coffee and soup. Very good mince pie with clotted cream. Menu seems to change seasonally. While it is attached to the Museum of Textile and Fashion the restaurant has direct access to Bermondsey Street and is open sometimes when the museum isn't. Also carries some fresh veg. Pleasant place to sit read a book. View all feedback.

I popped in yesterday for lunch the froccacia sandwich was dry and contents must have been sitting in their counter for ages. Won't go there again.

Bermondsey Street can get pretty busy at lunchtime. While people are happy to queue at various places down the road I popped in here almost by accident and had...

The restaurant on Bermondsey Street offers an interesting but disappointing menu, with some patrons receiving small, underwhelming portions. A lack of organization and ambiance issues were also noticed, as well as inappropriate music playing. However, some customers enjoyed the seasonal menu changes and the pleasant atmosphere of the cafe, with a few praising the delicious food options like Swedish meatballs and salads. The colorful and charming decor of the cafe drew in customers for breakfast and lunch, with some enjoying the nice selection of food and friendly staff. Overall, mixed reviews suggest that the cafe has potential but falls short in some areas.
