Mama's Cafe - Southwark

I visited this restaurant while staying at the nearby Travelodge and have a habit of eating breakfast at local places. There were five of us dining, and we were the only customers at the time. The breakfast options were set meals, but you could also add on extra items. The pancakes, which we didn't try, sounded delicious. The breakfast we ordered was very tasty and freshly cooked, with our hot drinks served just before the food arrived. It was great to be asked when we wanted our hot drinks. There were no issues with the food, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was also very clean. We all left happy before heading home. We would definitely return if we are in the area again. Thank you.

After a very disappointing breakfast at the Travelodge next door, I found this cafe after a Google search. Wish I had done this the night before. Food freshly cooked to order and you can have whatever you fancy, not just set meals, the gentleman working there, I believe was the owner was really friendly. The food was delicious, the cafe was clean, and the prices were very reasonable and much cheaper than the hotel. I will come back for sure next time I'm in London

Wonderful place. The owner was very kind and helpful of suggesting places to see while enjoying our stay in London. Food was fantastic! The baguette was fresh and cappuccino was incredible. Would highly recommend this cafe!

It is a small family cafe, the service was amongst the 5 star hotels I have been too with the food, which was cooked from fresh, and lovely, plus theorise was awesome for what you got. I'll definitely be back there, thank you.

I loathe the impersonal, overpriced service at big chain restaurants, so discovering Mamas was a pleasant surprise. The food at this traditional cafe is fantastic, the service is friendly, and the prices are unbeatable. The generous tip was definitely well earned.
