disappointed. the food for two cost *prawn cracker get full markers *Cold plates not heated and lukewarm warm eating bark meat in black bean sauce too much soy sauce, therefore over salty sweet and sour balls must first have been microwaved as my man said they were too hard to cut and chew. I wanted to replace them, but he said that no ice fried rice contained no ice cream and sweet maize soup nicely charged for a pi... View all feedback.
Went there to place a takeaway order, service was friendly enough. Food was pretty good, tasty without being spectacular. Maybe a little pricey for some dishes like sweet n sour chicken and dumplings that were quite small but other dishes were pretty sizey. All in I would I eat there again
Great food at really fair prices which is a hard find in london!
As a big fan of Chinese food, I was desperate for a Chinese whilst working in the city. With football on the tv I was after a takeaway and the closest one I could find was 25-minute walk away but 5 minutes from Tower Bridge. On arrival there was only 1 table full of people and I was greeted by a male and female behind the counter. The restaurant was bright and pleasant and looked a nice place to eat. I ordered Egg Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Seaweed, Prawn Crackers and a can of Fanta Orange. I took the food back to my hotel to enjoy whilst watching the football. The Fanta and Prawn crackers were fine as expected. How could these go wrong. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was nice. Nothing special but plenty of chicken and some nice sauce. Whilst writing this review I am comparing this meal with my local Chinese, that I love over any other restaurant. The Egg Fried rice was ok, but I dislike Peas, and peas were contained in the rice. This is something I have never seen before and forced me to take them all out individually. The Seaweed was very finely cut and didn’t have too much taste to it and made me very disappointed. The portion sizes were spot on and the price very reasonable. As I say, I was not disappointed but as a fussy eater, I was comparing this to my local Chinese.
Always a favourite and never fails to deliver. Great food, service good, peaceful atmosphere and never changes! Will always come back here
