Went to Hophaus on a Saturday night. Really busy but found a nice table in the bar which suited us better. Good choice of beers. I tried the wiener schnizel. Not really German as was sitting in a bed of gravy. Why wreck a good schnitzel..lemon wedges only!! Appeared to be a little over fried, however was ok. Came with potatoes and coleslaw which had a German flavour. A little disappointed as have been to Germany and... View all feedback. What Martina Ferrer likes about Hophaus:

read moreHophaus offers a bustling atmosphere complete with a good selection of beers and German-inspired dishes. While some reviewers found the food to be a bit lacking in authenticity, others appreciated the tasty options and great value, especially the beer taster plate. The restaurant's location along the Yarra River makes it a convenient spot for group gatherings or casual meals with a view. With friendly service and a lively ambiance, Hophaus is a promising spot for those looking for a taste of Germany in Melbourne.
