Why is there not 10 stars Google, this place would totally get it from me. Clean, friendly, and the food was amazing. I'll definitely be back, and I suggest trying that taco burger if you haven't before, it caused me to have a foodgasm. Oh, and that salsa, easily the best I've had in the Memphis metro. I have a new restaurant to frequent, adding to my favorites list for sure. View all feedback.
What Monserrate Abernathy doesn't like about Maria's Cantina:
The service was less than stellar. Since we were a party, our waitress did not go out her way to make us feel welcomed. She already knew she was getting a gratuity anyways. However, the food was great. View all feedback.
I don't know where to start the family. the entrance to the restaurant was clean and easy. the inner was also clean I could add that the service was great the gale that served us was nice and worth knowing about the menu and eating that is on the menu. when we were there, their military and fighter people were and they have a military rabate that should have all the restaurants. my only grip is that they calculate them like an additional $2.00 or so for chips and salsa that when they go to a Mexican restaurant, they know that they give them in the regular chips and salsa for free plus refills! they were a missing man table that honors the fallen soldiers that they do not see in the rest.
Eating is best sup par and some are just terrible, depending on what they get. a few years back I got the chicken tacs and they tasted as if they were coming directly from a pond extremely dirty tasting fish. So a few years ago by deciding to try it again, and that was a mistake. the service was very mediocre and that is a point, there was much lacking as if they had to look around and see where their waitress or waitress was and wonder why they did not try to get to their table. the tequila lime chicken. was one of the worst dishes I ever tasted from this place, the chicken came out of a dose and they can taste it, in a ground skillful swan with a bad limette sauce skip this dish. the Latin grilled garnelenquesadilla was ok small blande if she didn't put guacamole on her, the sweet tee tasted as if it had been in the same container for 2 weeks before they even served it to them, this really bad aftertaste would give the old tee. I would say that the price they pay for eating here is not too high and there are far better places that they can get good food in this area.
Showed up at 9:03. The open sign was lit and the door said they are open till 10. The person who greeted us at the front door was rude and said they were closed. I asked to speak to a manager and a man and woman came up. The man was nice in his demeanor but the woman was combative and rude. She was not interested in hearing anything and only wanted to push me out the door. Horrible experience to the point i will be consulting with my lawyer. Dont go here if you are looking for friendly service.
Food was great . The management is unprofessional and the server decided to add an additional tip for herself. And after calling and emailing the manager no response back. But I will not be returning because of the unprofessional manager and I hope Jess enjoyed tip but it was disputed.Update after consistent opportunities to fix my issue it wasn’t until I did a review anyone ever responded and I am in hospitality industry . But I know I will be patronizing this restaurant anymore.
Maria’s cantina supplied subpar (read: slow) service and mediocre Mexican food. I came with 7 other people, and I was disappointed that such a sluggish service accompanied the 20% automatic congratulation (for groups 7 regarding the eating, the fajitas were simply okay, while the pork tacos were unbearable dry. their offers pale in comparison to other restaurants I have visited. If you want to waste your money and your time, stop.
