It was a sunny Saturday with a gentle southerly breeze, and we were seated near the entrance where the staff were welcoming. However, not everything was perfect. Although we were offered water for the table, it never arrived, and our food took quite some time to come out. We suspect the delay was due to a shortage of baguette rolls for the bánh mì sandwiches we ordered. I wish we had been informed about the wait in advance. I chose the tofu bánh mì from the menu, which looked impressive, but the tofu itself was rather bland beneath the katsu breading. The crusty rolls also made the sandwiches difficult to eat, so I’d prefer a softer roll next time. Overall, there are definitely good things to enjoy at Good Things, but there’s always room for improvement. This review is shared in good spirits. The concept fe... read more My experience at Good Things was quite disappointing. After discovering the restaurant online, I was eager to try it because it looked promising. The concept featuring a music room, as well as the aesthetics and branding, are truly impressive. However, the staff seemed inattentive, and the food was disappointing. I visited on a weekday and ordered a Flat White along with the Miso Aubergine Donburi from the lunch menu. The restaurant was quiet since it was just after the lunch rush, but I still waited 25 minutes for my meal. When I asked the server about the delay, they assured me it was on its way. When the dish arrived, the rice was so hard that I had to question the server again. They insisted it was cooked that way and was fine, but I had to show them the solid, inedible rice in the center. They promptly took the dish back and returned moments later with a fresh serving. Since I had already paid, they offered me another coffee as a gesture of goodwill. Good Things clearly has great potential, but the lengthy wait during lunch and having to insist that the food wasn’t acceptable was frustrating. The venue is stunning, the staff... read more My fiancée and I celebrated our engagement party in the downstairs area of Good Things, and we absolutely loved the experience. The venue is stunning, the staff are incredibly friendly and dedicated, and the sound system is fantastic. Their cocktails are top-notch as well. Honestly, it’s hard to put into words just how amazing everything was. We’ve also visited Good Things during the day for food and coffee, and everything was delicious. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into every aspect of their menu. Even though we live a bit far away, we will definitely be returning. It’s no surprise that so many people have recommended this place—they’re truly nailing it!
