Bayleaf Kitchen has received a mix of reviews from its loyal patrons. Some have enjoyed the delicious food, with particular praise for the crispy popadoms, excellent main courses such as chicken jalfrezi and monkfish calcota, and lovely side dishes. However, there have been complaints about the noisy atmosphere caused by large groups of people shouting, which can detract from the overall dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant has been criticized for being very busy, leading to long waits for food, especially on Saturday nights. Despite these issues, many still consider Bayleaf Kitchen to be a hidden gem worth visiting for a tasty meal.
I have visited this restaurant several times and it was great as always, but the experience was unfortunately marred by a large group of men at the next table who were loud and shouting at each other all evening. This was not the fault of the restaurant, just individuals who lacked proper manners.
