This restaurant has a high-quality atmosphere and is situated on a bustling boulevard, yet it doesn't seem to thrive. We're experiencing the opposite here. I had the best hot chips, served in the old-fashioned Metzgerpapier style—where they simply tear a hole in one end for you to enjoy your chips. I really wish this place were closer to home! What User doesn't like about The Postbox Takeaway:
On two occasions, I travelled 40 mins to this place specifically to get a Vietnamese roll, as was recommended and advertised by the local newspaper, and on BOTH occasions, was rejected service by the man behind the counter, telling me ‘We don’t have them today’. He spoke to me like I was a real bother!?If you want a fresh Vietnamese roll, perhaps go to the bakery located in the shopping centre at Windsor, that is loc... View all feedback.
I'm afraid that I (along with others must strongly disagree with Mr Troy Gibsons' review of this establishment. (read his other reviews . The Food is GREAT! The service is BETTER! I come here at least once a week and EVERY time I have been greeted with a warm friendly smile, prompt service and a clean environment. Huge selection of foods, and I must admit I have my favourites so I cannot vouch for everything on the menu, however as previously stated GREAT every time. Please do yourself a favour and pop in, like so many of the passing Truck Drivers do, I feel sure you won't be disappointed. Unless it's Sunday (they're closed in which case, you will be disappointed.
Excellent price, great quality. Ordered a few times via menulog, generous serving sizes and good quality, absolutely worthy of 5 stars. You dont find many aussie shops like this anymore. Will definitely continue to order from here. Keep up the great work!!
We always receive fantastic customer service whenever we visit this restaurant. The food is consistently well-prepared and reasonably priced.
Excellent customer service with friendly, smiling staff who genuinely care. The prices are quite reasonable as well. There’s a steady stream of customers coming in, which speaks to its popularity.
This is a fantastic spot, always bustling with tradies, which is a good sign! I stopped by while working in the area and had the best hot chips I've had in a long time. They were served in the classic way, wrapped in butcher paper, allowing you to rip a hole at one end and enjoy the chips easily. I only wish this place were closer to home!
