What User doesn't like about The Nags Head:
We popped here for a few pints and sat in the beer garden at the back. Two pints were delivered to our table and when we sat, the table was so loose and rickety that it flipped. Fortunately, no one was hurt but the beer...went flying. The barman said that this table wasn’t used because of how bad it was but still charged us for two more pints. After a bit of protest we decided that it simply wasn’t worth the argument... View all feedback.

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant today just after 2 PM. Despite it being after the lunch rush, Dawn, the server, was very kind and happy to serve us. We had a fantastic meal, everything tasted homemade and was delicious. The pub is situated in a beautiful traditional setting, well-maintained with friendly locals. They even welcome dogs. I highly recommend this place.
The initial welcome was a bit aloof, perhaps due to my non-native status. However, the beer was enjoyable, and the food was both beautifully presented and delicious.
In martock en route to hampshire! melted brie and bacon cheddar and red onion marmalade baguettes for the youngs. girls sat on cheesy nachos. delicious food, good service.
While staying on holiday in the nearby village of Ash we booked here for Sunday lunch. We were greeted warmly by the landlord shown to our tablethen the lovely young friendly waitress came to take our order. The service was excellent and the meal was...a delicious home cooked roast dinner with a choice of seven vegetables! The landlady also came out from the kitchen to check if everything was Ok. We were so impressed with this pub that on paying for our meal we booked again for the following Friday evening and once again were delighted with the level of service and quality of the food we received. Would definitely recommend this “proper” pub.
