Sebago Brewing Company - South Portland

It was the only restaurant with parking available and no reservation needed at 8:30 PM on a Saturday in Portland, and we were so grateful for that! The portions were huge, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

They had a good variety of craft beer on tap. Service was fast and the place was clean. However, the restaurant was not crowded. We had a flight. The beer was okay, not my favorite. I specifically was disappointed by their “black is beautiful” nitro brew as it did not taste like a nitro stout. Their peach ale tasted more like a sour. I like that they had indoor seating since it was so hot outside. Not a bad place to stop at for a drink.

The waitress was incredibly friendly and very attentive. We ordered the black bean burger to share, and it was massive. I have nothing negative to say about the beer either. Highly recommended!

The beer was excellent, while the food was just average. To elaborate beyond my initial statement: we ordered the orange chicken, the warm soft Bavarian pretzel, and the chicken Caesar salad for dinner among the four of us. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. However, if you're looking for great beers, this is definitely the spot. I tried a nitro stout, a red ale, and an IPA, and each one was fantastic. We made a reservation and had no trouble being seated indoors. On the other hand, if we had wanted to sit outside, we wouldn't have had any luck with less than a 24-hour notice. Kudos to the servers; they were friendly and clearly skilled at what they do.

I ate here for my birthday dinner and it was great! We started with honey sirracha chicken tender which were crispy and delicious. The menu has so many options which I really liked. I got a shrimp salad that had vegetables and peanut noodles. So tasty! The portion sizes are big so I have leftovers. It is cool that you can try a flight of beers and pick the ones you want to try. My cosmo was just ok, but I kind of expected that. The food was awesome though!
