If in Portland this place is a must to visit just because of the view. We just arrived on time as the sky was full with different colors of sunset. The menu has a nice variety: I decided to go vegetarian. I had a Vega Burger that was a bit too dry for me, so I asked for some Mayonaise. The cocktails were super nice and the service was amazing. The atmosphere is definitely the draw here, we sat on the deck overlooking the water, very nice. Service was good. There was a long wait for drinks because the bar was busy, which I was okay with given staffing issues and such. I was disappointed in the jumbo shrimp they were $5 per shrimp and half the size I expected. The cocktail sauce wasn 't good and came out still frozen. The drinks were good and I felt reasonab... We have exactly what we expected. Ok service and decent food. Nothing but 60 dollars to fall on a muted lobster. I'm glad we finally have a chance to see the Maine Coast in autumn, but the lobster thing is far overrated. Oh, well, just being honest.
I had a fantastic evening with friends! Joe was our server and he was incredibly friendly and very attentive. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The chocolate cake we had for dessert was worth every indulgent calorie! I can't wait to come back. If you go, make sure to tell them that Hungry sent Susan your way!
Absolutely amazing! We dined here the night before our wedding, and the five of us each tried something different. Everything was outstanding. I was particularly fond of the Rumaki!
The Saltwater Grille is a fantastic hidden gem in South Portland! It has a nice, local vibe and doesn’t feel overly touristy. The menu is quite extensive with a focus on seafood, but you'll find a variety of options that cater to different tastes—there's something for everyone! Make sure to request a table on the deck; you won't regret it! Their wine list is impressive as well. We particularly enjoyed the dry rosé (as seen in the photos), which was delightful! Be sure to call ahead for a reservation; there's plenty of parking available, and the staff is very friendly! Don’t miss the chance to visit during sunset!
