Judy Gibson is one of our favorite restaurants in Portland, a hidden gem in Knightville. Just a four-minute drive over the Casco Bay Bridge, Judy Gibson always delivers inventive, seasonal dishes on their latest menu. We enjoy watching the open kitchen, the first-class cocktail menu, and the sophisticated global wine list. This place is a must-visit and we try to go as often as possible. View all feedback.

Woman who greeted me was very rude. she asked for a cocktail and rolled her eyes. actual waitress but very friendly. gnocchi was strangely casual and understated? (bed as sticky and chewing oil also over salted and too much edgy or lemon juice. in the theory this court would be excellent, but its execution is obviously lacking. grits had no season so no taste. pears burned. I had great hopes to look at the menu, but... View all feedback.
The food is fantastic and the service is great. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept. If it were located in downtown Portland, it would be nearly impossible to get a reservation. This hidden gem deserves more recognition! I will definitely be returning.
My party of three came across this hidden gem of a restaurant while out on a bike ride. They serve fresh, seasonal farm-to-table dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. We tried the creative appetizers, entrees, and desserts, all of which were delicious. One standout dish was the smoked mussels from Bangs Island, served with sourdough toast and infused with chilies and oregano. The gnocchi with aged sheep cheese and anchovies salsa verde was also amazing, as was the monkfish with tahini, fried shallots, and a cucumber tomato salad. The meal was topped off with a fantastic dessert.
Last night was a letdown. The prices were way too high for the tiny portions we received. The gnocchi, cheese plate, salads... Everything seemed overpriced in comparison to other restaurants nearby. I really want this place to do well, being a local resident, but it's tough when there are better options in terms of price and portion size.
Stayed in Portland after driving back from Acadia and wanted to try a restaurant outside of the Old Port District. This restaurant is phenomenal all the way around. Food and staff are wonderful. C.R.E.A.M. playing in the background. Definitely check this place out if you're passing through!
Fantastic inventive menu and wonderful service. I would have never thought that tuna and strawberries would work together, but it was a flavor sensation! It's definitely a place to share all the menu items to get the full experience of a truly ambitious and talented chef. I hope this place continues to expand on the fantastic menu items.
