What Philip Turan doesn't like about Satay on Charcoal:
first we had to wait for our collection order, and we were in order that there are signs that they were short occupied, and secondly we understood that we have been here for a long time and it seems that they have recently changed the hands, and so I would say that this place has gone completely downhill, should charcoal be renamed for satay. read more we have paid sixty dollars for the family Satay pack and gado gad... Located only a few minutes from South Perth foreshore, SOC provides an authentic Malaysian dining experience without breaking the budget. My favourite is Nasi Lemak (more specifically the spicy beef randang). I also tried the iced lychee (on a 37 degree day)...definitely a winner!! View all feedback.

read moreLocated in a somewhat hidden spot near Mends Street in South Perth, Satay on Charcoal offers an authentic Malaysian dining experience. The restaurant is known for its delicious satay, with generous portions of peanut sauce. While some dishes, like the fried kway teow, have been hit or miss in the past, favorites like the nasi goreng and coconut rice have been well-received. The service is friendly, although some guests have noted that the food can take a while to arrive. Overall, Satay on Charcoal is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, offering flavorful dishes at a reasonable price.
