What User doesn't like about Porky's Pit:
The ribs and brisket were delicious, but the pulled pork was extremely dry. I had to add BBQ sauce to my sandwich to make it more enjoyable. Both dishes were tasty, however, none of them came with the pickles, coleslaw, and jalapenos that were listed on the menu. If it was just one missing item, I would have overlooked it as a mistake, but the fact that none of them were included suggests they may have run out and fa... View all feedback.
I think Porky's is an excellent restaurant. As a lifelong Texan BBQ enthusiast, I have always found them to be friendly, fast, and serving top-notch BBQ every time. The quality of their BBQ is consistently perfect, reflecting their roots in the hill country. The owner is always willing to chat about BBQ, which adds to the authentic and welcoming atmosphere. I appreciate that they offer homemade desserts and ask if you prefer moist or lean brisket. If you appreciate good BBQ, I highly recommend Porky's.
This restaurant is located next to a bar that hosts karaoke every night. The brisket, ribs, and afteros were delicious and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a bit too sweet, but paired well with the ribs. The speck wrapped jalapeno appetizer was average and could use more cream cheese. It would be nice to have another sauce option to go with the jalapeno. Overall, the restaurant serves excellent grilled meals.

I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be back. the plates are well served, so the 2 stars, but the food quality was not on the same. the chicken is super delicate and juicy but absolutely no taste at all. I had to dry it in Bbq sauce to eat it. the brisket was very dry and hard. I couldn't eat it. I grew up in Texas, bbq is our ding, and that was just not. the potato was cold and did not do well to mix the ingredients in it. the bank was not pleasant. I had asked, I am a new customer and she was not the least interested in the offer.
The service was warm and friendly. Very willing to answer questions about the menu. The Baby Back Ribs were phenomenal. Fall off the bone. Mac and cheese side was very good as well. Had the cheese fries, a very A&W moment. Friends had the Pulled Pork Sandwhich and the 2-Meat Sandwhich (Brisket Sausage). Both were loved and devoured. I 10/10 would recommend.
