We visited this pub on a walk and we had a great time. It has a massive garden and two cask beers. My partner very much appreciated the female hygiene product in the bathroom. Would recommend for a visit! View all feedback.
What H2761DWstevenm doesn't like about The Fleur De Lys:
I stopped by for a quick drink at this restaurant and was impressed by its beautiful exterior, fitting in perfectly with the sleepy historic village it is located in. The service from the young lady behind the bar was friendly. However, once inside, I was disappointed by the overly modern decor, with a poor attempt at a period look including 'distressed' wooden tables and chairs. The cask ale selection was half-heart... The beer selection at this restaurant is exceptional, particularly for those who enjoy beers from the Purity brewery. Additionally, the interior of the pub has been beautifully redesigned following a change in management.
The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff is very welcoming and the seating area near the fireplace is charming. Just right!
The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome!
This historical hotel is charming and offers a great alternative to the more expensive White Hart down the street. The decor in the few rooms upstairs is lovely, with the Classic Double Room with Bath priced at around £90 including breakfast. The pub downstairs opens at 7:30pm and we had a fantastic dinner at The George Hotel nearby. The inn is conveniently located across from a beautiful historic Abbey. There is parking available behind the inn, although it may not be suitable for wider vehicles. Overall, Fleur De Lys Inn was exactly what we were looking for with its delightful history and quaint atmosphere.
