Sun Inn - South Oxfordshire

We went to this restaurant for Sunday dinner at lunchtime during the reopening after the Covid closure. We opted to sit in the garden and order takeout. The meal was fantastic. The freshly cooked, juicy burgers with smoked speck and homemade coleslaw were very tasty. My partner enjoyed the fish and chips, which featured beautiful, fresh fish. The prices were great too. The restaurant has new seating areas and is located in a quiet rural setting, not far from Pangbourne or Reading. There are also many walking paths nearby.

After visiting Sun & Paintings for their pizza a few times, my wife and I decided to grab a bite and a drink on a Friday. We were surprised to find out that the restaurant had changed ownership, but decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the service was lacking and the menu had been reduced to simple baguettes and sandwiches that didn't compare to the quality of food we had experienced before. It's a shame, but we won't be returning anytime soon.

This restaurant offers delicious homemade dishes that are authentic and made with care. The service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for couples, families, friends, and even hikers. They are also dog-friendly and offer both indoor and outdoor seating options.

Thanks for a great lunch. the food was freshly prepared, quality ingredients, authentic pub and Italian cuisine, sourded Neapolitan pizza, difficult to meet a menu choice, as it looks so good, beer very well maintained, extensive lists of spirituosen, friendly and efficient staff....We had venison pie, and made home burger, excellent. and white beer. we are coming back!

Had great Sunday meal here today with group of off road cycling mates. Although covered in mud, we were made to feel most welcome. Lovely fire to warm us food served quickly great roasts and pizzas. Pub has upped it's game recently and...is a great place to spend a couple of hours
