Always found this place to be great, used this place 30+ years, portions vary now and again but never left hungry. Varied menu but always get same order. Waiting area looks a little grubby in need of redecoration but serves it's purpose and never usually have to wait any length of time anyway. Typical local takeaway, enjoy the food, price decent and staff pleasant. View all feedback. What JanB881 doesn't like about Amber Star:
We have tried multiple dishes at this restaurant and found that the rice was too sticky and clumped together, not evenly fried. The curry was powdery and could use a more refined touch. The quality of other dishes was just average. View all feedback.
