What User doesn't like about Kalani's:
The crab cakes and cocktails were good. Unfortunately, my filet mignon was served cold and undercooked (I asked for medium and it was rare). The mashed potatoes/green beans that came with it were cold as well. However, the waitress was kind enough to bring us a free dessert for the inconvenience. View all feedback.

Kalani's is always a perfect experience the food, the service, everything. Not only is the food delicious, it is beautiful as well. Kalani's is our go to place at South Lake Tahoe.
We ate here twice during our week in Lake Tahoe! First night and then last night because it was so good! Misty was our server last night and she was delightful . Highly recommend the Scallop entree. Had it both nights!?
Our waiter Alec was just great. He was so pleasant and had a great sense of humor. He was so knowledgeable about the menu items and made everything sound so delicious that it was difficult to decide what to order! The food was outstanding, cooked to perfection and good size portions. We were just too full to order dessert. Yes, we will go back for more!
Overall the sushi was just ok. The restaurant smelled so fishy and so did the sushi. Felt like we should have gone elsewhere but wanted to go somewhere nicer for my son's birthday. Not a single acknowledgement from hostess or server even though I mentioned it on the reservation. We were all disappointed with the entire experience and this was our 3rd visit. We won't be going again.
