What gourmetflaneur doesn't like about Sixtytwo:
I used ot love visiting this little cafe just off the A1. However, this visit a few days ago was a huge disappointment. Same building, tables re-arranged to cope with Covid. All very good. But the tables had not been cleaned; the menus (laminated) were not clean and the counter and chill cabinet, on previous visits pristine, were cluttered, untidy and not kept clean. The cake selection was not as extensive as was the... View all feedback. What CultureVultureCamb likes about Sixtytwo:
We always get off the main road when we want a break and take pot luck (which is invariably better than the service station). Coming off the A1, the nearby pub wasn't doing food that day but then we found SixtyTwo. Definitely a good lunch spot. read moreSixtytwo is a charming cafe off the A1 that has unfortunately experienced some inconsistencies in service. While some visitors have enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and delicious coffee, others have been disappointed by lack of cleanliness, limited menu options, and excessive use of cream in dishes. However, positive reviews highlight excellent cakes, accommodating staff, and a warm ambiance. Overall, Sixtytwo is recommended for cyclists, families, and those looking for quality coffee and baked goods. Whether refueling after a bike ride or indulging in an afternoon tea, this cafe offers a cozy experience worth checking out.
