We always get off the main road when we want a break and take pot luck (which is invariably better than the service station). Coming off the A1, the nearby pub wasn't doing food that day but then we found SixtyTwo. Definitely a good lunch spot. Things were done properly big pot of tea (that didn't leak as so many do) and delicious made to order panini. We should probably have had one between us as the portions are la... View all feedback.
What gourmetflaneur doesn't like about Sixtytwo:
I used ot love visiting this little cafe just off the A1. However, this visit a few days ago was a huge disappointment. Same building, tables re-arranged to cope with Covid. All very good. But the tables had not been cleaned; the menus (laminated) were not clean and the counter and chill cabinet, on previous visits pristine, were cluttered, untidy and not kept clean. I have visited this restaurant a few times recently and each time we receive a very friendly greeting. The bacon sandwiches are delicious, as well as the authentic tea served in a teapot. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth it for a special treat once in a while.
This is a great spot to enjoy a coffee and piece of cake. The staff is friendly and the variety of cakes is amazing. Although the interior is small, there is outdoor seating available. The staff is very helpful and welcoming.
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant today! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the staff were very polite and friendly. They were very accommodating to my friend who is gluten-free. I especially loved the cornflake tart, which is my favorite dessert. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you!
Another fantastic breakfast brunch here the food is amazing never want my plate to end! Accommodate my kids amazingly (my daughter is very awkward)! This place is super friendly welcoming staff are all so lovely Lots to choose from so frequent visits required Highly recommended
A beautiful, quaint coffee shop. We are regulars here and have always had fabulous breakfast/ lunch and the BEST cake. Lovely, friendly staff. Really cannot fault. If you are local or passing through, we couldn’t recommend it more. (Pictured is my favourite avocado on sourdough toast with poached eggs and the most delicious balsamic tomatoes and onion)
