Set in the charming village of Ashprington with a varied menu of good quality food, nice selection of beers and friendly service this place is a winner. It's a genuine pub with a personality, it may feel like a local's haunt but the welcome is warm. You won't find a better place for miles. View all feedback.

Absolutely excellent. Faultless. From the welcome as we arrived (early, it was raining! , their knowledge of the wines and ciders, the fabulous food, and the friendly staff, all was perfect. My real pie was stuffed with big, tasty chunks of chicken. My friend’s plaice was huge and had an interesting variety of fresh greens. The puddings are amazing. No portion stinting here! The food and service at this restaurant are exceptional. A hidden gem. I highly recommend trying the beef curry - you won't be disappointed.
This charming local pub in the picturesque village of Ashprington offers a delicious Sunday Lunch. You can choose from a main dish for £16.50 or opt for 2 courses for £20. The roast dinner is of great quality and comes with a generous serving of seasonal vegetables. The Yorkshire puddings served with the meat dishes are a standout feature. The pub has a nice atmosphere, although the service can be slow at times. However, the wait is worth it for the delicious meal you will receive.
The restaurant serves amazing food and has friendly staff. It is hidden next to a quaint church. What more could you ask for?
Lovely food, in a great location. The menu could do with more desert options though.
Outstanding location and service great as usual. Just popped in for a pint and tried a craft beer from TQBeerworks, a hazy IPA called : D N Cornholio. Cracking pint.
