Absolutely excellent. Faultless. From the welcome as we arrived (early, it was raining! , their knowledge of the wines and ciders, the fabulous food, and the friendly staff, all was perfect. My real pie was stuffed with big, tasty chunks of chicken. My friend’s plaice was huge and had an interesting variety of fresh greens. The puddings are amazing. No portion stinting here! Set in the charming village of Ashprington with a varied menu of good quality food, nice selection of beers and friendly service this place is a winner. It's a genuine pub with a personality, it may feel like a local's haunt but the welcome is warm. You won't find a better place for miles. View all feedback.
