Coronado Mexican Kitchen - South Elgin

The service we received from our waiter was subpar - they didn't bring water for the table until we asked, did not check in to refill drinks or chips, and seemed unfamiliar with the drink menu. The wait for our food was lengthy, and one of the dishes was incorrect when it arrived at our table. The food was decent but not outstanding, although the portions were very generous.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone downhill quickly. They have switched up their staff and reduced their portion sizes. Our orders were mixed up and the service was lacking. The food now has more of an American Mexican influence rather than traditional Mexican. It's disappointing to see as this place used to be good and is never busy. I may give it another chance, but I'll also be on the lookout for a new Mexican restaurant if things don't improve.

Great job, the tableside guacamole and margaritas were excellent!

Excellent selection of entrees and appetizers. Family friendly atmosphere and service was very good. Margaritas highly recommended. Portions were plentiful as well. Comfortable and overall nice decor and seating areas.

Would have been 5 stars but the service was slow . Great good as always though.
