What Nikolai Selfridge doesn't like about Armando's Mexican:
The staff was kind and I liked the seating area, but when I tasted the food I realized I had wasted my money. It tastes like the kitchen has a cleanliness problem, or maybe the cook is using old ingredients. It also tastes like the enchilada sauce can came from a can.I spent $50 on a meal for two and both my friend and I threw our food out. We also both felt sick after. View all feedback.
You know the food will be good when the salsita is tasty! Had the huevos rancheros and appreciated the bits of chili verde with pork that was added to my surprise! The mango and limon margaritas are not a pre-made mix which was so refreshing! Definitely coming back!
Food was good service was good I will be going back.
Positive: most everything, Not expensiveNeutral: Do you like Music ? It is on all the timeNegative : Small Restaurant name sign , very hard to find even with Google Maps on handGood restaurant. The owner is also one of the servers. Saw a few Mexican families and couples enjoying the music and the foodThe chilaquiles in green sauce tortillas cut in squares swimming in green salsa de tomatillo and served with rice, beans, two over easy eggs and sour cream are ok.They have traditional water flavors like Jamaica red Hiacinth flower water and Horchata. Both good choicesTry the 7 Mares Soup 7 seas soup made with Shrimp, Clams, Fish and Octopus of course, octopus might not be for everyone , Add cilantro, diced onion and lemon plus hot sauce if you prefer.
The food is their authentic Mexican food and it is always the same great taste. The owners are very kind and always so helpful.
This has become our new family favorite!Great food. Great service.Family owned. Please go support this local gem. It's in a funky strip mall. Don't let that deter you.The enchiladas with chicken or cheese, with either red or green sauce are my favorite! My 80 year old dad, who is very very fussy really likes this place too.Weekends they have handmade corn tortillas too! Parking: Parking lot is kind of dark. Definitely needs more lighting. But it's huge lot.
